Raw Satay Sauce

Dr Libby Weaver's recipes are ultra healthly and I did go through a phase of using her recipe book. There are a few things that have made their way into our repetoire!! This sauce is really good. It would be good with a gado gado salad but I could eat it on anything!


1 cup raw cashews

3/4 cup almond butter (you can replace with peanut butter - the good stuff only)

2 tbsp fresh ginger

1 small red chilli

2 tbsp tamari (or soy)

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp maple syrup (has to be 100% pure)

1/4 cup water


Combine cashews and almond butter in a small food processor and whizz up until well combined. Add ginger and chilli and process, then add the tamari, oil, syrup and finally water.


Zuzz till its a lovely creamy consistency.
