Smoothies

It took me a good while to get into smoothies but now that I have, I just love them, and have them almost every work day. Weekend's I'll have a treat like avo on my seed toast or yogurt, fruit and seeds.



Most of the time it's a variation of what's in the fridge and sometimes it's more successful than others. I've listed some of my favourites though.


Go-to smoothie

This is the one I make the most:

1 banana

3/4 cup almond milk

1 tablespoon of ground LSA

About 1/3 to 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (I never measure, just shake the bag)

Either 1 tablespoon runny honey, or 2 mejool dates chopped for sweetness

Handful of baby spinach (the more spinach you put in, the more mud coloured it looks!)


Variation


Replace the blueberries with a gold kiwifruit...


And then of course there's the smoothie bowl. Same ingredients just make it thicker and then sprinkle with toasted mixed seeds.
