French Toast

One of my favourites (after eggs benny) for breakfast. I like it with maple syrup and bacon, or have it for lunch with a side salad and Lottie's tomato sauce.

Bread of your choice, sliced: above we used brioche (very naughty!)
A couple of eggs
Spash of milk
Salt and pepper
Whisk up the eggs in a shallow dish, splash in the milk and season.
Dip the bread into the egg mix until it's soaked up plenty, then fry both sides in a non-stick pan in butter until golden. Eat while still hot.
If you're doing a sweet version you can add cinnamon or nutmeg to the egg mix, you could do some orange zest too.
It would also be a nice addition to a cooked breakfast with some small breakfast sausages, bacon and mushrooms. Baked beans would turn it into real comfort food!
