Alex & Josie's wedding

We were delighted to be asked to cater for Richard and Niki's son's wedding in July 2022. They were getting married at home at their gorgeous home overlooking sumner and wanted canapes for the guests whilst they were milling around after the ceremony having drinks. For this part of the day there were just over 100 guests. Later on the evening shin-dig was at the Christchurch adventure park.


They were really lucky for a winter wedding and the day was clear and quite sunny.


We gave them a wide selection of canapes to chose from, and these were the five they selected:


Caramelised onion and feta tartlet


Ginger oat crackers with pear and blue cheese


Duck and hoisin wonton cups


Seared sesame tuna with wasabi avocado

Gravlax on dark rye


We had three lovely girls from the family and family friends to be the waitresses so we were able to stay in the kitchen and get the canapes out over a period of about 2 hrs. All went well and they loved it. V happy all round.
